General Description:
The ECE Instructional Coordinator provides instructional leadership by building preschool educator capacity and understanding of the early childhood curriculum and instructional practices aligned to the Virginia Early Learning & Development Standards (ELDS) to foster student academic success.   The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through the development of non-evaluative support models for teachers, strategic coordination of coaching and classroom support, use of program data, and pedagogical knowledge of early childhood best practices. In collaboration with other program leaders, the Coordinator provides vision, structure, and direction for coaches to ensure educational support, professional learning opportunities, assessment support, and practice based coaching experiences aligned with program objectives and best practices.
