Job Title: Manager, Business Applications
Grade Level/Terms of Employment: Grade 130/260 days (12 months)

Work Location: Technology Services
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Technology Services
General Description:
The Manager, Business Applications performs activities related to the support and operation of the
District’s repository of Business Applications; including but not limited to, student information systems,
business/finance software, document management software, and associated application databases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the team to support our professionals, to ensure they deliver on data and service objectives efficiently and effectively
- Provides up-to-date knowledge and in-depth expertise on the supported Business Applications throughout the district
- Produces and maintains appropriate technical, operational, and guidance documentation for our staff to best support the use of the provided applications
- Leads the delivery of the team’s implementation objectives for products and services that support departments throughout the district
- Assists with identifying new software systems that will best meet the needs of departments and/or the district
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology Services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Management of Information Systems, or related field
- A minimum of five years of successful IT management, software development, and/or project management experience
- Exceptional communication and public relations skills along with executive-level research, staff development, strategic planning, and presentation skills
- Extensive experience managing software, database administration (Transact SQL), and system development
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
- Strong leadership skills and intimate knowledge of computer operating systems
- Ability to work independently and possess effective decision-making skills
- Bilingual/fluency in Spanish preferred
